Born in Dublin in 1948, Eddie Jordan began his career as a driver in the 1970s before transitioning to team management.

In 1991, he established Jordan Grand Prix, which competed in F1 until 2005. The team was known for its competitiveness and vibrant atmosphere

Jordan's team gave seven-time world champion Michael Schumacher his F1 debut in 1991, marking a significant moment in motorsport history

After selling his team in 2005, the outfit underwent several transformations and is currently known as Aston Martin in the F1 circuit.

In December 2024, Jordan publicly revealed his diagnosis of prostate cancer, which had metastasized to his spine and pelvis

He died peacefully, surrounded by his family, in Cape Town on March 20, 2025.
